More about Rhea
because I love talking about myself
Born in England and raised in Indiana, I have since dropped both accents and am braving the Bostonian winds to study
computer science and applied math at Harvard.
I'm fascinated by data — its vastness, its visualizations, its biases — and the endless ways we can use it.
I love to work on products that make humanity happier, healthier & more equitable. In particular, I'm excited by work in machine learning, climate tech, creator tools, and education.
Previously, I've quant traded at Virtu Financial, worked on climate tech startups @ J.P. Morgan, and chaired the world's largest women in tech conference with Harvard WECode. I also do research in economics and computer science, where I'm particularly interested in questions related to human-centered AI, intuitive design, and fairness.

my life philosophy
As a true ENFP, I often self-describe as an introspective extrovert. I love getting to know people deeply, a remnant of
my high-school journalism days, but I also spend a lot of time lost in my own world — thinking, writing, and creating.
The three qualities that I admire most are empathy, agency, and resilience.
As someone who grew up fairly timid, I've realized in college the importance of being a bit more fearless: we only have this one wild and precious life, after all. I hope to have a positive impact on those around me — both by being compassionate and by chasing bold ideas.
a peek into my free time
On campus, I write for the Harvard Crimson (for the Arts Board & for Flyby Blog), design for Harvard Design Collective, and love to dance and play intramural sports. Currently, I'm obsessed with air dry clay, artsy data visualizations, and playing around with color combinations. I also drink an absurd amount of tea + hot chocolate, attempt to read every day, and love blue-biking around Boston.
